JUNE BLOCK CHALLENGE

Rayna had a great idea for our next Quilt challenge for June.
We quickly decided we needed to try her process of taking
a traditional block,
cutting it up
and reworking it...

So the June CHALLENGE is,
Either have two vintage blocks.
(Or make two traditional style blocks if you don't have two vintage,)

one you can save (and bring along to the next meeting)
and one you can cut up to re work.

So you will be bringing in TWO blocks.

Any style of traditional block, and colors...

the un finished size of the re-worked block is to be 12.5" square.

ABOVE: on the right is the block Rayna started with,
the one on the LEFT is the same block BUT cut up and reworked...

If you have any questions, you can email me (Victoria) at:

bumblebeansinc dot gmail dot com

Our next meeting is June 4th

If you find you cannot make it to the meeting, and want to contribute blocks to our group quilts,
then please email me and send them to me BEFORE the meeting
so we can have them to play with.

  1. I love this photo! Rayna looks like she's in outer space! I love what she did with the vintage blocks, too.

  2. What a good idea. Some of my vintage blocks are now trembling in their shoes.
