NYC Mod Bee for June - Kimberly's NYB Blocks

Here's my 2 NYB blocks for Kimberly, our June Queen Bee - I've made Blocks 0 and 7.

Haven't done paper piecing before and admit to being slightly nervous, but didn't need to be - I got together with Maren and we did a trial run with muslin first and once you get the hang of it, it's actually surprisingly easy.  Also hadn't worked with batiks before and the colours are just so vibrant that you can't do anything but love them.  I took photos and notes as I went along which are available on my blog.

I'll send them on their way to you tomorrow Kimberly and can't wait to see your finished quilt :)
