Opposites Block and Children of Israel Block

Hi everyone, I'm new to the Guild so I'm only now getting round to posting my May Bee Block and June Challenge Block photos.

This is my June Challenge 'Opposites' Block made using Dear Stella Paisley Doodle in Grey and Dear Stella Solids Blue.

And here's my May Bee block for E, called 'Children of Israel'.

After creating this block I appliqued and free machine sewed the basket in the bulrushes to represent the story of Moses.

Looking forward to finally meeting you all in October :)

    1. Thank you, it's great to get the feedback as I'm new to the Guild and it was my first Bee block and I wasn't quite sure what was expected but E's instructions were brilliant and allowed me to be a bit creative too :)

    1. Thanks Nicole, it was such fun to do - hadn't done applique or free machining on a block before (though I had done it on other textile art pieces) so it opened me up to more new possibilities in quilting, which is always a good thing :)
