NYC Metro Modern Quilters Guild
We support all styles of quilting where you are free to explore your own creativity in quilt-making.  Our guild promotes the appreciation of quilts, supports quilting activities, encourages quilt-making, and furthers the growth of its quilters' education.  

Our Mission:
Our mission is to develop and promote the art of modern quilting through cooperation, education, and community.

Our Story:
The NYC Metro Modern Quilters Guild was created by Victoria Findlay Wolfe in early 2010 to offer a place for quilters to connect and create.  Originally part of the Modern Quilt Guild, our members voted to leave the MQG in June 2014.  We currently have around 80 members and all levels of quilters are encouraged to join us, including beginners.

Meetings:
We hold 8 meetings/year from 2 pm to 6 pm on the first Saturday of the month

2016/2017 Membership - $65 (not pro rata)
Visitor fee - $15
Our preferred payment method at our meetings is debit or credit card using Square.

Note: there are no drinks/snacks available at Hartley House so bring a drink along with you.  Also during the winter months, it can be very cold at Hartley House so be sure to wrap up warm.

Lecturers/Teachers/Vendors:
We welcome email submissions
 from lecturers/teachers and vendors interested in attending our meetings.  A Guild member will be on hand on arrival on the day to help you unload your vehicle and set up.  Vendor rate: raffle prize donations of $50 minimum retail value.

Blocks + Challenges Committee

Community/Charity Committee
We are involved in numerous community/charity projects throughout the year.  Involved with a community/charity and interested in working with us?  Get in touch! Events/Retreats Committee
Alongside Sewing Days and Museum visits as a Guild, we have two annual weekend sewing retreats, one in Spring (usually January) and one in Summer (usually June).  Take a look at our Events + Retreats page.
