Our April 2nd Meeting . . .

Another wonderful meeting with the Metro Mod Quilters!!

Here are some of my better pictures from the day . . .

Amy hiding behind our curved piece quilt.

It really looks fabulous!

Helen's wonderful vest!

She is entered in a wearables contest over here.

Please go take a look and vote for your favorite, Helen of course!

This is Jessica's bee block top that she has finished.

It had lots of fabrics that she loves, so Jessica was very happy.

So great to finish things! David's "play" blocks are growing and growing. Wonderful finish on this don't you think?
Andrea took David's top at the last meeting and

added this sunburst at the top.

Kim is now going to quilt it.

I am so inspired by their collaboration.

Here is Margaret's little quilt.

Another sunburst!

So cute.Victoria's little princess B showed off what she is working on too!

She doesn't want to do the applique and was trying to get one of us

to do it for her . . . the child is a quick study right?!

Victoria's cloud quilt . . . It really is amazing,

you have to see the quilting up close and personal

to understand the wonderfulness of it!

Our group chatting in V's wonderful space.
Now onto the raffle!

little princess B drew the winners . . .

Andrea really wanted the free haircut and started chanting,

"pick Andrea, pick Andrea"

And don't you know princess B picked Andrea!

Love that when that happens.

Here is our next challenge quilt, Stripes, under construction.

I was a bit dizzy looking at it at first,

but after much collaboration with all of these talented people,

it looks wonderful!

Janet is going to piece the top.

So that's my wrap up of a great day together!

Thanks to V and Amy for always

hosting a great meeting.

Happy Sewing everyone.

  1. I am sorry that I don't live in NYC. You all have the most fun. There is so much creativity going on. Everyone seems to share and support each other. What a great group. PS. I am a friend of Victoria and several other members I met at a retreat. Bonnie
