Maria's bee block

Maria asked us to play with (and part with!) some of our all-time favorite fabrics in our favorite color for her block.  Well, for me that's a no-contest game.
Enter, "Pond Scum."
(And any other deliciously yucky version of this color!!)
I chose some fabrics that have made an appearance in a few of my quilts and ones that were on the "brighter" side, to show up well with the background fabric Maria sent us.  By the way, I really like this Essex linen.  It's a nice weight and was no problem to sew the curves.  And I'm a sucker for cross-color fabrics!
It's on it's way to you Maria! Enjoy

............I'm adding a little more quilting to my DWR for our guild challenge!  Have you finished yours yet?

  1. Got it! Thank you, Kim, I love your fabric choices. It is one of my current favorites. Frankly, I love them all. I haven't met a color I didn't like (perhaps one or two...) I am starting to amass an interest amount of blocks. Oh, the quilt potential here! By the way, awesome sewing skills! Thanks again, Maria
