Quilting...

I'm slow, and not very consistent (yet?), but I'm making progress on my hand quilting of my favorite work in progress. I had some lovely sewing time at sunset yesterday:

I'm mostly happy with how it's turning out:

I'm linking up with Jess's Monday Morning Star Count: I have quilted approximately one twentieth of the entire quilt? Probably less... it will be a great fall project!
Happy sewing, everyone~

  1. Gorgeous! I'd really like to try hand quilting my next project. I'll admit, I'm intimidated. I saw on one of your other posts that you bound the quilt before starting to quilt it. I'm new very new to any kind of quilting but this was the first time I'd seen this; I always just assumed you had to quilt first then bind the quilt. I'm intrigued.

  2. It's very well done.... I always quilted by hand (thought that was the only way to go) but arthritis and "old age" (can't live that long!) convinced me to try machine quilting... not as easy as I thought!
    Keep up the good work!

  3. Very nice! I'm hand quilting my hexagon quilt and it is slow, but there is something nice about working on it when it's cool and quiet in the morning.
