Rossanna was kind enough to trade queen bee months with me, so I am doing two animal blocks for her "adult coloring book"-inspired Lucky Bee project. This is the first one, and the next will be a green squirrel. I loved this project, in no small part because it was a rare chance for me to do hand applique for a bee project. For those who saw it on Facebook, it looked amusingly/alarmingly like the female reproductive system before I added embroidery. This was among my favorite bee projects ever, and it was a bit hard to part with her.
OMG, i love this. My daughter spent 2 1/2 months in India this past summer on an internship. It looks like something she would like. She loved it there. It's a beautiful block.
