Our last meeting of 2023 was incredibly festive.
We started off with a plentiful potluck - from cheesy sticks to donuts!
In show and tell, Greer kicked us off by showing a bag she made from fabric won during a previous quilt guild meeting.
Christine then showed the front and back of her Block Lotto quilt. Every meeting, we have a Block Lotto where members can submit a predetermined block design in exchange for a raffle ticket. The quilter that wins the raffle, receives all the finished blocks submitted!
Maria then showed a beautiful flannel quilt, quilted by our own quilt guild's Orlando from Quiltysauras
Marilyn then showed a recent panel quilt made. She highly recommends the impulse buys, this panel being a great example!
Aaron, a new member then showed his stunning quilt and quilted jacket.
Back of the quilt was hand-dyed.
Variety of fabrics, but it comes together perfectly!
Jody then showed a recent I-Spy quilt - a great scrap buster!
Sara then showed her stunning tree skirt in winter colors.
Sam finished one bag for the last meeting and loved it so much that she made another bag and a wallet! Great execution!
Asher then showed their haunting make! Minimalist design with sneaky kitties at the bottom. Beautiful!
Andrea showed her recent Dala horse quilt. See the pattern here. Such a sweet design.
Maureen showed her summer challenge quilt with quilting done with a walking foot spiral. Very impressive.
Kira, a new member as well, showed her wild, crazy quilt! Great colors
Orlando then showed his recent make - a quilt design by the guild's own Sewspicious! Great finish!
Maren shown an incredible design. The little squares spell out her grandmother's name - look closely and you will see Joan repeated over and over again. Great work!
Finally, Mia showed her fantastic finish of a recent block lotto - a variety of trees made from tiny scraps. Great execution!
