Hashtag Block 

1. Start with two 8" squares:  One fabric should be a black-on-white print.

                                               The other a bright solid.

2.  Cut both squares into 2" strips:

3.  Sew 3 b/w strips and 2 solid strips together as in this image:

4.  Cut your new block into 3 sections.  Your cutting measurement is the same as

      the the width of your original strips, 2".

5.  Add the 2 remaining solid strips to the center section and press:

6.  Then pin the 2 remaining block strips to the new center, matching and pinning seams as    

      in this image:

7.  Sew  together and press:
