February Meeting Recap

Committee Reports

Our Programs chair Cynthia created a survey for members to give her feedback on Programs going forward. Members took the time to fill out the surveys during the meeting.



Coat of Arms

Kim H. added an embroidered "NYC" to the back of the coat. It was passed on to Ellen F.


Vendor Guest

Usha from Handloom Batik brought her beautiful fabrics for sale, and told us about the history of the company. The 7th generation of her family is creating these amazing fabrics using vegetable dyes.




Guild Quilts
Jody S. quilted and finished this guild community quilt.


She used flowers and swirls to go with the "Garden" theme.




Bernadette F. added the arches to this "ugly" quilt, and passed it to Eva L.B.


Deborah B. added striped borders to this Round Robin quilt.


Chris E. continued this "ugly" quilt.
She passed it to Bernadette F. with the theme of "holidays".




Show and Tell


Judith C. made a mini quilt with a cat Mola.





Paula F. made her mini quilt for "Project Quilting".
It represents the Triangle Shirt Waist Factory Fire.






Hayden L. created a quilt with blocks made by kids for a school fundraiser. But we can't show it yet!

Deborah K. created this quilt in a class at Gotham.




Maureen H. used Tula Pink fabric to create her "100 Modern Blocks" quilt.




Ivete T. created this quilt for baby Hazel. It uses applique and is tied.





Maria G. created this quilt at the retreat as a sample for Gotham.






Lisa V. created this quilt in a Quiltcon class.




Bernadette F. made a quilt that is a gift, which we can't show yet...

Cynthia C. created 2 "100 Modern Blocks" quilts, with 52 blocks in each.








Karen H. made  this quilt for the retiring director of her kids' school.




She also made this quilt which she's calling "Unruly Married Girl".




Kim H. showed her new "word of the year" quilt.



She also created these hand-pieced stars with Michael Miller repros.




Lisa M. received this quilt as part of a Round Robin group she is in. She created the center medallion.







Eva L.B. created this improv quilt with scraps.
