February 2024 Meeting Recap

Great to be back! This is our first meeting since our winter hiatus and there were spectacular quilts to show!

Allison kicked us off with her mini thread spool quilt. Pattern by Thimble Blossoms.

Nina came next, showing a quilt started in a pandemic-era Gotham Quilts zoom class hosted by Irene Roderick.

Sue then showed a stunning mini quilts with ultra-mini triangles.

Laurie then showed her "Wacky and Happy" quilt inspired by two different quilt classes.

A couch accent quilt - to help liven up a grey sofa!

Marie then showed a Christmas present quilt top with William Morris fabric.

Orlando showed a recent retreat finish - a mini peace sign.

Nanette showed a throw size scrap quilt, inspired by Gees Bend quilters. She notes this is a perfect cuddle quilt and any stains from food get covered in lace.

Jody then showed her scrap quilt.

Anne then showed an EPP pillow she started in the Manor at Hemingford Grey.

Debbie showed a series of canning fruits. The fruits themselves are appliquéd - first glued down then quilted with tulle on top.

Bernadette came in to show her cheeky "low volume" quilt with...

An enlarged block on the back! She lightly calls it "scrap vomit".

Kira showed a small baby quilt with...

Flowers she quilted around on the back.

Renee showed her "Peace in Our Time" quilt.

Marilyn showed two panel quilts made to donate to ALS patients.

Jean showed her recent quilt from our round robin stash.
