April Lucky Bee block for Deborah

Deborah sent us precisely pre-cut fabric and beautifully detailed instructions to create a variation of a pattern called Interlocking Seasons.  Here's my finished block.

I love this pattern because it looks complicated, but if you follow the instructions, it's really not very difficult.  I also love it because it has one of Deborah's favorite fabrics, which makes me smile.

I was working on the block at Dear Jane class, and Diane pointed out that it is fairly similar to the Maze of Madness block (which I loved making, despite its name).  The blocks are similar, although Deborah's is significantly larger.

Looking forward to seeing this fabulous quilt.

A Star for Deborah

After getting over the panic/quandary about which side to sew to which piece of paper - it was an exciting finish. This is going to be a gorgeous quilt.

Deborah's February Lucky Bee blocks

I finished Deborah's Lucky Bee blocks for this month just in time to deliver them at Dear Jane class tonight.  I tried to choose colors I thought she'd like (as well as several of the Kaffe prints you provided), but also wanted to choose fabrics from my stash that reflect my personality.

I hope you like them, Deborah!
