June Lucky Bee Blocks

These two wonky blocks are for Daniela.  They were quick and fun to make.
Love your feature fabric!

Daniela, I hope you like them - they are on their way to you.
I can't wait to see them all together.

Winter trees for Daniela

This is my block for the Lucky 13 Bee 2. I was inspired by the triangle tree blocks and the the 2 color blocks being shown at our last meeting. It was fun to make a slightly wonky winter scene! Daniela, I hope you like it.

NYC Mod Bee 2: November Block

I am pleased to announce that the second Bee (or Bee 2) of NYC Metro Mod Quilt Guild is filled and ready to go!

I am so excited to be the November Queen Bee for Bee 2 (even though I way behind in posting!) Here are instructions for my block (packages should arrive soon), in honor of this very festive time of year.

While browsing some blogs awhile back, I found these adorable holiday blocks by From the Blue Chair:

Another inspiration block found on Flickr:

For this month’s bee, I would love to see what you all come up with as tree or ornament blocks. The blocks should depict trees (any kind- wonky, tall, stubby) or ornaments only and you can use any technique you like. Flickr or blogland has some great ideas if you're in need of inspiration.

Blocks should be about 12.5 inches square using the fabrics provided in packet; each bee member will receive roughly 13 different kinds of fabric (you may use as little or as much as you like) and one piece of kona snow for the background.

I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!
