These adorable giraffes were great fun to make - from 'made fabric.' From what I've seen so far, this is going to be a very joyful quilt - thanks Rossana!

If you need a nice, calm project for a post holiday cool down, appliqueing a pinkish petal onto a greenish background (6 inch square) might be a good one. We currently have 29 blocks, which would make up into an approx. 2 1/2 x 3 foot lapquilt. See samples below. If you need the pattern, it is attached below. If you print out the pattern, be sure that the square measures 6". This will be a wonderfully cheerful quilt when done. Thanks.

No matter how many times I try to work in other colors, the orange/red theme seems to come forward anyway! The "favorite block" is hand dyed and thread painted - I figured trying to make a traditional block in a tiny size with my skills at sewing straight lines and matching corners would not come out too well . . . So here they are. Thanks for the challenge, Maria.

Hopefully this will be ok - I have a bag of scraps and couldn't resist using a bunch of the pieces for this block.

Autumn has my favorite colors, and my favorite objects - leaves - so I had a party with this month's block. The flower is sort of cheating - but it does bloom at the end of the summer, and it was smiling in the share table  . . .

Tina's Quilt as you go - not as wonky as I had wanted, but great fun to make. I love the finished texture.

Here's my August foxglove block for Naomi.  The colors in the print were such a great inspiration.  Can't wait to see the rest of the blocks!
